Geode Essence

Geode Essence

In Gallery

Currently on Display at Blick Glendale

18" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas

Geode Essence is an abstract composition that explores the tension between natural textures and geometric form. Rich brown, cloud-like swirls cascade diagonally across the canvas, creating a fluid sense of depth and movement. These organic shapes are interwoven with hammered copper elements—fine lines and geometric forms—that introduce a subtle architectural dimension. This interplay between the warm, earthy tones and the cool expanses of blue and white evokes the contrast of earth and sky, groundedness and openness.

The acrylic and copper medium adds a tactile quality that invites closer inspection, with the metallic details catching light differently from the painted surfaces. The work reflects influences drawn from the Arizona landscape and the quiet stillness of autumn meditation, capturing a moment of balance between energy and calm. The resulting piece is simultaneously atmospheric and textured, offering a thoughtful fusion of abstract expression and natural inspiration.
